Mentorship & Personal Development

At Lamp Oil Camp, we believe that transformation starts from within. Many young people have incredible potential but lack the guidance, role models, and emotional support needed to navigate life’s challenges. Our Mentorship & Personal Development program bridges this gap by pairing youth with dedicated mentors who help them discover their purpose and build essential life skills.

Through structured one-on-one sessions and group dynamics, we focus on emotional intelligence, goal setting, self-esteem, and moral leadership. We don’t just prepare youth for careers—we prepare them for life.

Skills Development & Career Support

Moving from the classroom to the working world can be daunting. Our Skills Development & Career Support program is specifically engineered to make youth employable, entrepreneurial, and highly adaptable. We focus on providing practical, real-world training that meets the demands of today’s job market.

Whether a young person wants to climb the corporate ladder, enter a trade, or launch their own business, we provide the foundational tools, technical knowledge, and continuous support they need to secure sustainable livelihoods.

Career Expos & Networking

Our Career Expos have become a cornerstone of Lamp Oil Camp’s impact in Polokwane. We recognize that talent is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not. These high-energy, interactive expos bring together educational institutions, corporate partners, tradespeople, and industry experts under one roof.

By introducing young people to diverse career paths and hidden industries, we expand their horizons and help them make highly informed choices about their academic and professional futures.

Leadership Development & Community Transformation

True empowerment doesn’t end with personal success—it extends to community transformation. At Lamp Oil Camp, we are passionately committed to building the next generation of ethical, responsible community leaders. Our Leadership Development program challenges young people to look beyond themselves and identify ways to impact Polokwane and the broader region positively.

Through leadership camps, civic education, and community-driven projects, we teach young people how to organize, collaborate, and execute initiatives that solve real-world problems.
